The Virginian LowLife

This mazdaspeed was built with the intention of racing on the track while looking low and mean, he certainly achieved that. As many would keep the Mazdaspeed’s superb factory suspension, Josh swapped it out for some Stance GR+ coilovers to slam the car and maintain its great “on-rails” like handling. Addition to that, he added 16×8.25+0 XXR 527s all around to give it a mean looking stance.
Virginia is the state famous for the first settlements of the British colonies and where the first Thanksgiving was held between the pioneers and the Native Americans. Is it also the state where the first ever stanced Mazdaspeed miata resides.
This cars sets the example of how functionality and stance can still work together, yes the Mazdaspeed’s stock suspension is great, but when you lower it and add wider wheels its make it handle better! Props to Josh to being the first stanced out Mazdaspeed Miata!

History:
Bought the car bone stock in May ’10 and have been putting in work ever since. Slammed Miata’s are dime a dozen but slammed Mazdaspeed Miata’s are relatively rare. I was one of the first do give the Mazdaspeed model the whole “slammed/flush” treatment. The car was unfortunately a northern car before I bought it (oops) so I have been battling some rust issues (already had the quarter panels repaired, next up is the undercarriage and a spot on the side skirt area that you can’t really see in the pics) but it hasn’t deterred me from moving forward with my plans for the car.Shout outs go to my friends Matt, Bryan, Kris and everyone else (too many people to name honestly) who had lent a hand with my car. Also thanks to Sebastian Marin for the dope pictures! Oh and last *but not least) thanks to Dillon Tonsi for the inspiration. He owned the first slammed/fitted Mazdaspeed Miata I ever saw on the interwebz and was inspiration for me to build my own.
